The Gezana Spirit
"Gezana" means "our house" or "home" in Tigrinya. It embodies the warmth, hospitality, and sense of belonging that we strive to create for every guest who walks through our doors.
Founded in 2023, Gezana Cafe was born from a passion for exceptional coffee and a desire to bring people together. We believe that a great coffee shop is the heartbeat of a neighborhood—a place where ideas are hatched, friendships are forged, and moments are savored.
We source our beans directly from sustainable farms in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, ensuring that every cup tells a story of tradition and quality.

Tewdros
Owner & Founder
Tewdros grew up surrounded by the rich coffee ceremonies of Ethiopia. With over 15 years in the coffee industry, he founded Gezana to bring that authentic sense of community and craftsmanship to the world. He believes every cup should be a celebration of heritage.
Keza
Head Barista
Keza is an artist with espresso. Her latte art is legendary, but it's her deep knowledge of roast profiles that truly sets her apart. She loves helping customers discover their new favorite blend and ensures every shot pulled meets her exacting standards.
Mugisha
Manager
Mugisha is the glue that holds Gezana together. With a background in hospitality management, he ensures that every guest feels like family from the moment they walk in. His warm smile and attention to detail create the welcoming atmosphere we're known for.
Uwase
Pastry Chef
Uwase begins her day before dawn, baking the fresh pastries that fill our cafe with irresistible aromas. Combining traditional Rwandan ingredients with classic French techniques, her creations are the perfect companion to our coffee.
